Getting Started
Each player receives 12 cards (13 cards for the dealer in a 3-player game). The remaining cards form the draw pile. The goal is to reduce your card count by forming valid sets and runs, or by calling "Tongits" when your unmatched cards total 4 points or less.
Forming Combinations
Sets: Three or four cards of the same rank (e.g., three Kings, four 7s). Runs: Three or more consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 4-5-6 of hearts). Ace can be low (A-2-3) or high (Q-K-A) but cannot wrap around (K-A-2).
Gameplay Actions
On your turn, you can draw a card from the pile or pick up the top discard. You must then discard one card. You may also drop completed combinations to reduce your hand or connect cards to existing dropped combinations.
Winning the Game
Call Tongits: Declare when your unmatched cards total 4 points or less. Draw Win: Win if you empty your hand by drawing the last card. Default Win: Win if other players have higher card counts when someone calls Tongits or the draw pile is exhausted.
Card Point Values
Face cards (J, Q, K) = 10 points each. Ace = 1 point. Number cards (2-10) = Face value. The player with the lowest total wins!
